Types of stainless steel mesh

There is such a wide range of stainless steel mesh varieties that it can be used to suit any application. The type a way the mesh is constructed and the size of the weave give this product more durability. The thickness of the wire used and even what types of alloys are used in the metal can really add strength or make it more flexible depending on what you are after.
Here are some examples of types of mesh that can be used:

  • Woven weave mesh - This type of mesh is woven in an over under way and is quite a good choice if your looking for a bit more shape in your mesh. Such examples could be filters, machine guards, and deep fryer baskets used in commercial cooking.
  • Panels versus rolls - These two options really depend on whether your after mesh for a small project or a much larger one. The panels can be a much stronger option however if its for a fence in rolls may be a more cost effective option.
  • Stainless steel grades - The grade of the stainless steel can make a massive impact on how strong or flexible the mesh is. Some grades of stainless steel are focused on marine applications making them more suitable for use in salt water.

Whatever your requirements are, you should be able to find a type of stainless steel mesh to suit any project such as:

  • The construction of an aviary
  • Fireproofing rural properties
  • Protecting factories from break-ins by covering windows and other access points.
